RACE DAY ARRANGEMENTS & FACILITIES
Runners are Tata Mumbai Marathon’s biggest stakeholders and Procam continues to work towards making the race day memorable for all participants.
Race Director Hugh Jones said, "The city is changing so fast, even the courses between then and now. We've managed to keep the event along the structure that we have stuck to for a good number of years now. Be it police or security, everyone is very responsive when they hear the words, Tata Mumbai marathon. They're aware that the show is coming. There's not many changes but they are significant in terms of the look of the field. It's a shame that the road surface is very caught up but we've paid attention to the traditional highlights of Marine Drive; the course has less twists and turns as compared to last year, making it a fairly straight run onto the sea link, only when you hit land it becomes a little bit more complicated. I'm sure it will turn out to be good and we will have super quick courses in the future."

- 10 Medical stations on the course
- 3 base camp for FM,10K, HM,DR
- 1 medical station for HM at Mahim

- 280-300 volunteers
- 100-150 medical staff
Dr. Vijay D'Silva, Medical Director of Asian Heart Institute said, “Asian Heart Institute has been the medical partner for Tata Mumbai marathon since inception. Like every year we have a big contingent of medical and support staff this year, we have about 500 personnel comprising 100 doctors, 100 nurses, 200 physiotherapists and 100 support staff. This manpower is going to cater to three major base camps, which will comprise around 100 beds, almost equivalent 200 ICU beds, 16 aid stations, 15 ambulances, and 14 medics on bikes. In addition to that, we'll also have some spotters scattered all over the place so that we don't miss out. Over the years, the number of people who need medical help has gradually gone down. The decrease in the need for medical help showcases what Procam International has been doing for years. Runners are well informed, they train well which has eventually led to a decrease in casualties. And this year also we hope that we'll get away with very few injuries and illnesses. My team and I are ready for all eventualities.”

So when you see two lakh Mumbaikars on the road cheering them they're cheering the efforts of these people. Today, Mumbai and Maharashtra are on the world map, it's a Gold Label race by World Athletics, recognized by AIIMS.
