Marathon Debutants – Your First Marathon, Forever Special

Celebrating Your First Marathon (42.195 KM) at TMM 2026

We are proud to introduce the Marathon Debutant Program — a tribute to those who are taking on the 42.195 km challenge for the very first time. If this is your debut, we want to make it memorable.

Whether you’re stepping up from a shorter distance or lacing up your shoes for your first-ever Marathon, this is your moment — and we’ll celebrate it with you, every step of the way.

What You’ll Receive

  • Debutant Bib
    A specially designed race bib with a “My First 42.195 KM” tagline to wear with pride.
  • Photo Opportunities
    Dedicated photo backdrops at the Expo and finish line so you can capture this milestone moment.
  • Recognition
    On-ground shoutouts and media amplification for debutants. You may even be featured on our digital and social media platforms.
  • Debut Story Campaign
    Selected runners will be invited to share their stories as part of a special feature series. Keep an eye on your inbox!
  • Debutant E-Certificate
    Upon successfully completing your first Marathon within the official cutoff time of 7 hours, an e-certificate will be sent to your registered email ID.

How to Participate

While registering for the Marathon category, you will be asked:

“Are you participating in the TMM Marathon category for the first time?”

☐ Yes   ☐ No

If you answer “Yes”, you will be automatically tagged as a Debutant Marathon in our backend system and eligible for all debutant gratifications.

In case, you forgot/skipped the above question while registering, our backend team will also cross-check past records to verify your eligibility for the Debutant Program.

Verification & Eligibility

To maintain the authenticity of this recognition:

  • The Registration Team will cross-verify all “Yes” responses by checking our past participant database using your First Name + Last Name + Date of Birth.
  • If you have previously participated in any Marathon (at TMM), you may not be eligible.
  • Incorrect information may lead to disqualification from the debutant category.

Important Notes & Rules

  1. Eligibility: This program is exclusively for participants attempting the Marathon distance (42.195 KM) for the first time at TMM or any previous edition of the Mumbai marathon. An e-certificate will be issued only to those who successfully complete the run within the official cutoff time of 7 hours within 30 working days.
  2. Accurate Information: Ensure your registration details (name, date of birth) are filled correctly to help us verify your debut status.
  3. One-time Recognition: Participants can be a TMM Debutant only once.
  4. Confirmed Runner: Only confirmed debutants will be assigned the special Debutant Bib.
  5. Content Use: If selected for the Debut Story Campaign, your photos and story may be used on TMM digital platforms and by our media partners.
  6. Deadline for Verification: Applicable for runners registering on or before 28th November or as soon as running places are filled, whichever is earlier.
