Medical Arrangements
Comprehensive medical arrangements have been established for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Below are the key provisions:
Medical Facilities Along the Route:
- 15 Medical Stations: Strategically placed along the route to provide immediate medical assistance.
- 18 ACLS Ambulances: Stationed on the course for emergency transport and rapid response.
- 18 Medics on Bikes: These medics will patrol specific sections of the course non-stop, equipped with first aid kits and portable AEDs for quick response.
Hospital Support:
- 15 Partner Hospitals: Collaborating with the event, each hospital will have two representatives from the Indian Association of Physiotherapists for efficient coordination and communication with the Command Centre.
- Medical Director Oversight: Dr. Santosh Kumar Dora, the Medical Director from AHI, has personally liaised with each hospital to ensure preparedness.
Base Camps and Mini Camps:
- 3 Medical Base Camps: Set up to handle critical situations. Two will be located at the Finish Line at OCS Chowki, and one at the Dream Run Finish near Metro Cinema.
- 6 Mini Medical Camps: Established at key venues, including Azad Maidan, Bombay Gymkhana, Cross Maidan, Cross Goan Football Ground, Mahim Reti Bunder, and the CSMT Start-Finish Line.
Specialized Monitoring:
- Physiotherapist Team: A team of 160 Cardiac and Sports Rehab Physiotherapists from the Indian Association of Physiotherapists will monitor the final 10 km of the course, from Love Groove Flyover to the finish line, ensuring immediate assistance.
- Spotters in the Last 2 Km: Spotters will be positioned every 100 meters, including elevated positions using high umpire chairs with binoculars, to enhance visibility and monitoring.
Command Centre Operations:
- 4 Doctors from AHI: Managing communication from the Command Centre in collaboration with Team Procam to ensure quick responses and effective coordination.
These arrangements aim to provide a robust medical safety net for all participants, ensuring swift response to any medical emergencies during the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025.
