Sir Mo Farah | 2025
Sir Mohamed Muktar Jama Farah (born 23 March 1983) is a Somali-British former long-distance runner. Considered one of the greatest runners of all time, Farah won the extraordinary feat of defending the 5,000 m and 10,000 m titles in back-to-back Olympics and World Championships, a historic achievement known as the "quadruple-double." His ten global championship gold medals (four Olympic and six World titles) make him the most successful male track distance runner in the history of the sport.
Beyond his competitive success, Farah’s contributions to athletics have been recognized with numerous honors. In 2013, he was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) and knighted in the 2017 New Year Honours for his services to the sport.
With an inspiring journey defined by grit, perseverance, and an indomitable spirit, Sir Mo Farah’s legacy extends far beyond his incredible medal haul, making him a true icon of athletics.
